GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Student Success Coach is an integral part of the Student Services Division, such as: First Year Experience Program, Career Center, Transfer Center, Destino Center, Completion Counseling, etc. Student Success Coach Lead Interns work closely with students to provide referrals to various programs and services based on student needs. Student Success Coach Lead Interns leads and assists with special projects as assigned.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Student Success Coach Lead Intern is distinguished from Student Success Coach Intern in that they are responsible for providing instruction, supervision, and coordination to student Success Coaches. This position requires frequent use of a high degree of independent judgement in making decisions within established rules and procedures. Works very closely with the area director to ensure all objectives of the department are being met.Interested individuals currently enrolled in a Master's program and/or Doctoral program from an accredited institution are invited to apply for the position. For candidates looking to go the Counseling Route, you must be currently enrolled in a Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- $19.00-$22.00 - Journey level (Bachelor's degree and enrollment in Master's program)
- $22.00-$25.00 - Advanced Journey level (Master's degree and enrollment in Doctoral program)

Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this program. 1. In collaboration with the area lead, the Lead Success Coach will assist in assigning tasks to success coaches related to area activities, including case management of students and development of workshops.2. Leads, creates and coordinates workshops and classroom presentations.3. Attends comprehensive training and professional development throughout the semester.4. Leads discussions with coaches and students based on predetermined topics and provide referrals to appropriate programs and services based on student needs.5. Leads weekly scheduled meetings with coaches and distribute same-day documentation of the meeting, including emailing the agenda and recording meeting notes.6. Leverages technology to manage a caseload of students to improve academic outcomes tied to the area of focus. This includes assisting students with matriculation steps, supporting matriculation events, registration assistance, and connecting students with appropriate campus resources.7. Leads and manages a caseload of students on Starfish Early Alert to provide support and referral assistance to the appropriate resource centers.8. Assists with special projects as assigned by the area lead which may include supporting events from the office of Student Equity, Student Services, chaperoning transfer tours, registration assistance labs, summer bridge programming, etc.9. Ensure coaches are updating Key Performance Indicators and timesheet logs.10. Coordinates and creates marketing collateral and how-to guides for students and coaches.11. Collaborate with campus partners and coaches in creating content for the FYE Newsletter.12. Create business process guides which give clear instructions to coaches regarding the step-by-step processes of coach responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
There are two levels and each requires a different level of education.
1. Journey level: Must have a Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a Master's program.
2. Advanced Journey level: Must have a Master's degree and currently enrolled in a Doctoral program.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.6. Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Suite and capable of learning other technology related to student supports.7. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
