Primary Purpose of Organization Unit:
This position is located within the Universitys Office of Human Resources, which is in the division of Finance and Administration. The department provides a comprehensive and professional level customer service oriented programs and services for The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Services include recruitment, selection and employment of EHRA Faculty and Exempt Professional Staff (EPS), SHRA and contract temporary employees, EEO Compliance, classification and compensation administration, Performance Management, Professional Development and Training, Records Management, Policy Development, Employee Relations, Time and Leave Reporting, Fringe Benefits Administration under the guidelines established by the Office of State Human Resources, UNC System Office and State and federal laws and regulations. The Office of Human Resources serves an employment population of nearly 900 faculty and staff, and approximately 300 contract temporary employees and agency temporary employees.

Primary Purpose of Position:
This position is the primary technical support lead for all HRIS systems, reports, processing through the enterprise system Banner and HR DataMart. Responsibilities include serving as project lead/liaison with the UNC Shared Services team to ensure timely and accurate payroll and Banner system tables, programs and processes comply with the UNC Shared Services Payroll Model. Serves as university representative on Change Advisory Board (CAB) with the UNC Shared Services. The Business Systems Analyst provides expertise in Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, reports and interface integration. This position bridges the gap between the functional side of the business operations and the information technology side of systems development, testing and production. Troubleshoots system and data issues; provides accurate resolution and enhancements. Test programs, table codes and other system components to ensure patches and enhancements provided by the UNC System Office Shared Services team correctly update the system and provide correct results. Verifies and validates all cyclic entries and manages the DataMart closure process.

Job Description:
POSITION IS DESIGNATED FOR REMOTE WORK. REMOTE WORK MUST BE PERFORMED IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

This position is eligible for remote work once fully trained and at the direction of the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. To be eligible for a sign-on bonus, the candidate must not have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time-limited employee in the last 12 months as an employee in North Carolina state government subject to the State Human Resources Act

Management Preference:
A degree in Human Resource management (HRM) with a focus on Information Systems or a computer science or Information Technology (IT) degree. Previous experience in enterprise-level HRIS systems preferred. Subject matter expert of Banner Finance ERP system and knowledge of the underlying tables, programs and processes that interrelate and impact gross to net payroll processing. Functional and technical knowledge in payroll, benefits, leave-keeping and other payroll and HR processes. Possess thorough knowledge of university enterprise wide HRIS and related business information systems, testing methodologies, training, business system analysis, and related expertise.
