Job Summary:

The Department of Neurology has an opening for a motivated full-time Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate human subjects research studies. Neurology's clinical research includes over 300 human subject's research studies: Actively Enrolling Studies (cuanschutz.edu). We are seeking an individual who is collaborative, communicative, caring, detail oriented and organized, proactive, able to think critically, focused on quality, dedicated to personal growth, and highly motivated in all areas of study coordination.

The successful applicant will be conducting research with the oversight of the Principal Investigator (PI), who is a clinical research scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Sciences Duties (50%):

Overseeing and supporting assigned research studies (which may include drug or device studies) as well as participating as a backup coordinator on other studies.

Consenting clinical research participants.

Direct participant contact: obtaining study data and working with participants.

Data entry and other administrative duties such as scheduling.

This position will collaborate with study colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Recruitment Duties (50%):

Create and analyze reports from the Neurology Clinical Research Recruitment Database Reports may include demographics, missing data, average time to connect to potential participants, areas needing recruitment attention, etc.

Collect, code, and analyze data obtained from recruitment efforts and create annual recruitment statistics to present to the Clinical Research Services Program Director, Clinical Research Vice Chair, and Neurology Department Chair.

Create inventory and oversee Neurology Clinical Research Recruitment events and outreach materials

Maximize the use and training of the recruitment database: Ensure that the database is utilized effectively to track, manage, and optimize recruitment processes. Keep Neurology clinical research webpages updated.

Collect information to determine feasibility, recruitment and retention strategies.

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule dependent on in-person research visits, access to physical research files, or in-person meetings, but a minimum of 3 days per week on campus in Aurora, Colorado is required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level:

Bachelor's degree in any field.

Intermediate Level:

Bachelor's degree in any field.
One (1) year clinical research or related experience.

Senior Level:

Bachelor's degree in any field.
Two (2) years clinical research or related experience.

A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in science or health related field.
Three (3) years clinical research or related experience.
Recruitment or community engagement and outreach experience.
Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).
Experience working with reports and data.
Experience performing ECGs, phlebotomy, and/or vital signs.
Experience working with patients with Neurological conditions or Neuroscience experience.
Bilingual in Spanish/English.
SOCRA or ACRP clinical research professional certification (or other relevant certification).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Ability to follow and execute a study protocol and proactively prevent deviations.
Ability to follow direction of the PI and direct supervisor, follow all department SOPs and department policies, and follow all clinical research regulations or guidelines.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Entry Level: $47,743 - $60,729

Intermediate Level: $51,956 - $66,088

Senior Level: $56,169 - $71,447

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
