Job Summary:
This is an upper level, independent, multifaceted Program Director position, reporting to the Business Services Director of Finance and Administration in the Department of Psychiatry and the Division Director of the Division of Addiction Science and Prevention Treatment. This position partners closely with the Division Administrator and the Executive Director of ARTS (Addiction Research and Treatment Services) as well as the ARTS Executive Committee to oversee the business operations of ARTS and the strategic planning and growth of clinical services in the Division. This role includes working with the colleagues listed above on clinical and strategic initiatives in the Division of Addiction Science Prevention and Treatment and with the department as a whole related to addictions services in Colorado. This director will be responsible for prioritizing, organizing, and executing strategic initiatives as well as oversight of multiple ARTS programs and complicated funding streams as well as developing a robust strategic plan for clinical addictions services in the division and department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Close collaboration with the Division Director, ARTS Executive Director, Division Administrator, and DFA in leading division and departmental clinical SUD strategic planning processes.
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data using data management and dashboarding software.
- Communicating with divisional executive leaders to keep the strategic projects aligned with departmental goals.
- Manage the fiscal and budget review of four distinct clinical programs with a total annual operating budget of approximately $12M.
- Manage finance team to create efficient financial and productivity reports with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting expectations.
- Ensure ARTS programs are fiscally sound and adhere to University of Colorado Policies and Procedures. Develop financial organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic planning, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational and departmental objectives.
- Oversee facilities and operations of multiple locations, including 5 buildings at Ft. Logan and 4 community medication assisted therapy sites. This includes oversight of Facilities Manager and other staff responsible for maintaining the facilities, equipment, and overall updates including facilitating repair and other work with landlords.
- Responsible for oversight of personnel, providing advice and counsel to hiring managers.
- Responsible for working with departmental HR core as subject matter experts and to create collaboration for cross-coverage.
- Collaborate with Divisional and Departmental staff to ensure appropriate understanding at departmental level of the complexities of ARTS including any external threats to funding.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, accounting, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Six (6) years of experience in role(s) focused on financial management, accounting, or operations with at least five (5) of those years in a leadership role.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in healthcare, accounting, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience working with budgets and financial management.
- Experience analyzing and operationalizing strategic planning into demonstrated outcomes.
- Experience working with state or federal grants.
- Experience working with clinical services contracts.
- Experience working in higher education systems, including with EHRs, Peoplesoft, or other CU systems.
- Experience with university finance structure including speedtypes, account codes, AX strings, Anaplan, and PeopleSoft FIN.
- Experience with university human capital management structure including jobs, job codes, positions, components of pay, and PeopleSoft HCM.
- Experience with university business intelligence tools including Central Information Warehouse, AX, CU Data, MyBI, and A2E.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $84,816 - $107,886.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
