Job Summary:

The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for Advanced Practice Providers to provide clinical care in the Infectious Diseases Group Practice Clinic (IDGP) and the hospital setting. Clinicians at all ranks (Instructor, Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, Professor) are encouraged to apply. The position would involve outpatient (clinic) and inpatient care on the ID consult service. The IDGP clinic is a busy primary care HIV practice with 1800 patients. In addition, clinicians see patients for pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV, travel-related illnesses, and general infectious diseases management. This clinic also follows a large number of post-hospital discharge patients for antimicrobial management including outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT). As a member of the Infectious Disease Division, the applicant will also have opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities in the division.

Pre-travel evaluations
Position focusing on transplant infectious diseases (inpatient/outpatient) or general infectious disease (including HIV, PreP care, outpatient antimicrobial therapy) can be considered.

Work Location: This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.

Academic rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between you and the department about your previous experience and academic desires.

Instructor:

Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
Hold a graduate degree, master's and/or doctorate, from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA board certified
Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
Certified to see adults.
One year or more of post training inpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)

Sr. Instructor:

Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
Hold a graduate degree, master's and/or doctorate, from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA board certified
Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
Certified to see adults.

Associate Professor:

ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA board certified
Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
Certified to see adults.
One year or more of post training inpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)

Professor:

Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
Hold a graduate degree, master's and/or doctorate, from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA board certified
Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
Certified to see adults.
One year or more of post training inpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

HIV/Infectious Diseases background preferred
Transplant Infectious Diseases experience
General Internal Medicine knowledge base
Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills.
Excellent communication skills to interact with other medical providers and disciplines.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Instructor (0-3 years of experience): $105,000 to $118,000

Sr. Instructor(4-7 years of experience): $119,000 to $129,000

Assistant Professor (8-11 years of experience): $130,000 to $139,000

Associate Professor (12-15 years of experience): $140,000 to $149,000

Professor (16+ years of experience) : $150,000 to $163,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on years of experience and primary site of practice. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
