Housing Project Coordinator

The Housing Initiative at Penn (HIP) seeks applications for a Project Coordinator to support projects related to housing insecurity, economic precarity, and public assistance. HIP is dedicated to achieving more effective, equitable housing policy at the local, state, and national levels. HIP advances policy through rigorous research, civic partnerships, and honest and inclusive planning processes. HIP is engaged in a variety of projects, including:
1) working directly with local partners to evaluate novel housing programs targeted towards populations with low incomes;
2) studying existing programs and policies aimed at addressing issues of housing stability, eviction, and affordability;
3) developing comprehensive housing plans in partnership with local government, nonprofit partners, and community members.
As Project Analyst, you will engage with the above projects by designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys, interviews, and focus groups; coordinating logistics within and across project teams; and working collaboratively as part of a tight-knit team. The Project Analyst will work across several project teams as well as work closely with the Director and Faculty Director; the Project Analyst report directly to the Director of HIP.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
High levels of organization and attention to detail
Experience working with qualitative research
Preference will be given to applicants with experience working, or education, in urban policy
