Job Description:
A Postdoctoral Researcher position is immediately available in the Dave Moz Lab (Chemistry Department and BioInspired Institute at Syracuse University), to develop nature-inspired strategies for controlling the structure and mechanics of biopolymer condensates.
This NIH-funded project aims to use post-translational modifications to alter the interfacial and rheological properties of all aqueous emulsions derived from the liquid-liquid phase separation of proteins.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in the experimental characterization of soft condensed matter as demonstrated by publications in the field.

Qualifications:
  • A doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or closely related field is required.
  • Prior publication record in the characterization of structure and dynamics of soft condensed matter using rheological, scattering, and other techniques.


Job Specific Qualifications:
Familiarity with the production, isolation, and characterization of peptides/proteins is desired but not required.
