Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Housing and Residence Life the Community Director plays a pivotal role within the Office of Residential Education providing intentional and deliberate educational experiences for students that support the academic mission of the University.
The Community Director supervises approximately 10-20 Residential Advisers and oversees the daily operations of one or more residential areas. With building community as a priority of a Community Director's work, this position is responsible for developing educational opportunities in an environment that enhances student learning and growth in areas including academic success, campus and community engagement, social justice and inclusion, personal development and leadership & professional development. As live-in professionals, Community Directors are considered first responders and will serve in an on-call rotation to assist with crisis management, intervention and emergency response.
The Community Director position is a full-time, 12-month, staff exempt (salary) live-in appointment.
In addition to the competitive salary, the offer will include:
1. 2,000 dollar hiring incentive in accordance with program guidelines.
2. A partially furnished apartment.
3. Dining Dollars in the amount of 2,000 dollars (less applicable taxes) for the academic year.
4. Campus Dollars in the amount of 200 dollars (less applicable taxes) for the academic year that can be used for laundry.
5. A taxable moving allowance, 3% of salary (if applicable).

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-year of experience in secondary or higher education setting or in a related area. Previous Resident Assistants are encouraged to apply
- Experience in training, selection and supervision of student staff
- On-call and crisis management experience
Added Bonus:
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field
- Two years of full-time professional residential life, housing or student affairs experience
- Facilities management operations

- Ability to work in an office setting, with or without accommodations, to include: sitting, standing, moving about the office and campus.

43,888.00-50,400.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
