Job Description:
This role develops and implements the strategy for alumni engagement and volunteer programs provided by the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. They has oversight over the regional alumni volunteer program, young alumni/student engagement programs, and the alumni career services program and manages a staff of four that implement these programs. This position is responsible for creating and evaluating a strong onboarding, cultivation, and stewardship program to support alumni volunteer leaders within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving as well as within the various schools, colleges, and units. This includes aligning volunteers and team members with the overall goals of the office as well as the Advancement and External Affairs (AEA) Division. The position will also work closely with regional team members to properly align regional volunteers with appropriate engagement efforts.
The position is responsible for the alumni engagement score strategy and leads the team in strategic thinking for growth opportunities. The role works closely with partners within the AEA Division to manage data/analysis of the score. Additional project management can include, but is not limited to, new alumni volunteer opportunities, new services provided by the office and fundraising initiatives.

- Develop, implement and maintain the engagement strategy for the regional alumni volunteer program, young alumni/student engagement programs, and alumni career services while leading/inspiring the high-performing team responsible for executing these programs. This includes, but is not limited to, managing all data collection/analysis to drive effective decision making, strategic engagement planning to provide synergy between these programs and other priorities and initiatives within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, and overseeing the budget for these programs to ensure optimal allocation to maximize alumni engagement opportunities.
- Attract, supervise, mentor and evaluate staff members to implement and continuously improve these programs.
- Create, lead, develop, implement and evaluate the overall strategy/process for volunteer identification, recruitment, onboarding/cultivation/stewardship.
- Establish engagement paths for volunteers that align with their skills/strengths. This includes collaboration with other volunteer engagement professionals in the AEA Division, resulting in consistent messaging to all volunteers.
- Lead the continued growth/strategy of the alumni engagement scoring initiative for the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. In doing so, lead reoccurring meetings with campus partners focused on data collection, manage data review processes as it relates to the score and growth, while providing oversight for the overall strategy for continued opportunities leading to meaningfully engaged paths for alumni.
- Identify and engage key donors through the volunteer engagement program to drive fundraising priorities within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving.
- Create pathways opportunities for volunteers for giving.
