Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $25.00
Maximum $28.85

Job Summary
Under supervision of the Employee Relations Manager & Deputy Title IX Coordinator, this position provides administrative and clerical support to Employee Relations team and other Human Resources leadership as needed. Understands and follows procedures in accordance with system policies and regulations, ensures that operations within the office are carried out with the highest level of quality, makes recommendations for improvements, and develops workflow processes and procedures in accordance with University policies and procedures. Performs work that is confidential in nature. Makes recommendations and develops workflow processes for improvement.

  1. Working knowledge of Human Resources/Employee Relations best practices, compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  2. Strong computer/technology proficiency including Microsoft Office applications, HRIS, and Internet.
  3. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  4. Demonstrated use of good judgment with ability to approach complex problems logically and systematically.
  5. Attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  6. Experience dealing with sensitive information and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Strong organization, planning, analytical, and problem resolution abilities.
  8. Exceptional teamwork with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; prioritize and complete tasks while working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  11. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to give presentations/conduct trainings.


Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of clerical experience with high competency in office software.
  • Experience working in the employee relations area.
  • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
