Job Description:
Madison College is seeking a Student Support Services Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key player in helping current and prospective students navigate the challenges of college life with seamless and efficient support.

Your responsibilities will include, working with a team of coordinators, responding to inquiries, intake, triage, referrals, and scheduling appointments for various Madison College Student Affairs units.
As a Student Support Services Coordinator, you will have the chance to work closely with professionals in diverse areas of Student Services, including Enrollment Services, Academic Advising, Counseling, Disability Services, Financial Aid, and more. This cross-functional experience will allow you to develop a broad skill set and gain valuable knowledge while making a real impact on student success.
This position reports directly to the Student Support Services Manager and is a part of a supportive team that prioritizes people-first leadership. You'll receive cross-functional support and training from various service areas to ensure you're well-equipped to assist students effectively.
This is an onsite, full-time, hourly position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of those we serve. The role requires Monday to Friday availability from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with occasional extended hours until 6:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Essential Responsibilities:
Student Assistance and Support:
- Respond to general questions and serve as the primary contact for prospective, current, and applied students, providing detailed information about Madison College Student Services.
- Provides intake, triage, referrals, and appointment scheduling for student affairs units.
- Assist students with various online processes utilizing software, databases, and websites.
- Support students in navigating and completing necessary forms.
- Provide referrals to appropriate experts when needed.
College-wide Programming:
- Collaborates with college partners to support student success
- Serves on college-wide impact teams and committees to represent the perspective of Student Support Services.
- Maintains a commitment to the college mission, vision, and values.
Administrative Support:
- Schedule appointments for various departments, including staffing the Advising Scheduling phone line.
- Answers emails for the Student Support Services Team.
- Intakes forms.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to a diverse audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, professionally and work collaboratively, with all members of the college community.
- Ability to quickly learn student information systems and office management software.
- Ability to quickly assess situations, think critically, de-escalate and find effective solutions, to student needs and challenges.
- Ability to respond promptly and thoroughly to requests.
- Ability to quickly learn college processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with the needs of a diverse community and the challenges they face in navigating their college experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and adapt to the evolving needs of students and the college community.
- Ability to accurately enter and track data, schedule appointments, and ensure that all processes are followed correctly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent working experience. *Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.
- Two (2) year work experience directly related to the skills, knowledge, and abilities required for successfully performing the duties of this position.
