Salary/Pay Range: $ 61,000- $64,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking qualified applicants for a post-doctoral position in trauma and PTSD prevention research. The fellow will work with Dr. Heather Littleton on federally funded clinical trials related to trauma and PTSD prevention/early intervention for LGBTQ+ individuals. The fellow will conduct research-related activities, which include day-to-day research operations, clinical trials management, data management and analysis, supervision of graduate and undergraduate research assistants as appropriate, and the preparation of manuscripts and grants. The fellow will also deliver online trauma and PTSD prevention programming under the supervision of Dr. Littleton.

This is a two-year fellowship opportunity with the potential to extend depending on available funding. The fellow will be able to accumulate supervised post-doctoral clinical and research hours towards Psychology licensure. The fellow will also have the opportunity to receive mentorship in the area of grant writing.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Research design, coordination of data analyses, data management, and writing up study results and disseminating research in appropriate venues.
  • Provide research supervision, mentorship, and direction for undergraduate and graduate students involved in projects.
  • Assist with manuscript writing.
  • Manage participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention for clinical trials.
  • Conduct structured clinical assessments of PTSD symptomology.
  • Deliver trauma and PTSD prevention programming to enrolled clinical trial participants.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related field is required.

  • Applicants must have proven experience designing and conducting research and writing reports/articles (as described in your application materials).

  • Clinical trials experience is preferred.

  • Ideal candidates will have experience with delivering online interventions.

  • An excellent candidate will have training and experience in the field of trauma and PTSD prevention.

  • Experience conducting research and delivering clinical interventions to LGBTQ+ populations is a plus.
