Institute of Health Logistics and Analytics

Job Summary

This position will support the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics (IHLA) mission to transform the health and well-being of our communities through applied evidence-based practices and technology integration. The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality multimedia content to support our health community engagement, outreach, and training initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in multimedia production with a passion for creating engaging, impactful content tailored to diverse audiences. This position requires a creative and technical individual who is skilled at translating complex health and research information into visually appealing and accessible formats for diverse audiences. This position is 100% contract-funded, and continued employment is contingent upon further grant or contract funding.

Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and produce videos, animations, graphics, and other digital assets for health- related community engagement and educational programs
  • Develop engaging multimedia content that translates complex health information into accessible, easy-to-understand formats for a variety of audiences
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to conceptualize and storyboard multimedia materials aligned with outreach and training goals
  • Manage multimedia libraries and ensure all assets are appropriately archived and accessible
  • Develop culturally sensitive and inclusive multimedia content to engage diverse communities
  • Support health communication campaigns by designing assets for social media, websites, and other digital platforms
  • Operate and maintain audio-visual equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and editing software
  • Ensure all multimedia content adheres to accessibility standards and is optimized for various platforms
  • Work closely with internal teams, including educators, health professionals, and community outreach coordinators, to align multimedia deliverables with organizational goals
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines effectively


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Required Experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience in multimedia design, preferably in a health-related, research, or nonprofit environment Proficiency in design and multimedia software (Adobe Creative
  • Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.)
  • Proven experience in video production, graphic design, or similar multimedia roles


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in public health, global health, and/or infectious diseases Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles, multimedia projects, and content types, including work in healthcare, science, or research communications

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with animation Familiarity with data visualization and how to present complex health data in an accessible and engaging manner


Proposed Salary

$60,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
