DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM SUMMARY
The Computing Talent Initiative (CTI), an institute in CSUMB's College of Science, is committed to its vision of ensuring that every California college student who is interested in studying computer science has access to a clear pathway that will lead them from where they are to a career in the tech industry.
CTI does this by building and implementing materials, pathways, and supports that prepare computer science students, particularly students from low-income, first-generation, URM backgrounds, to be competitive for opportunities in the technology workforce. A significant part of CTI's strategy is to work with tech companies, nonprofits, and other institutions of higher education to meet its objectives.
