Job Summary:
This role involves providing excellent customer service, technical assistance, and equipment management to users, both in person and remotely. Daily tasks include unboxing computers, efficiently transporting equipment across campus, configuring workstations to meet user needs, and providing equipment recommendations. You will also be responsible for managing our inventory and ensuring precise record-keeping through our ticket management system.
This is a 4 month position ( (May 2025 through August 2025), 30-35 hours a week, non-exempt (hourly), non-benefits eligible position based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties:
Reporting Relationship/Direct Reports:
Reports to the Manager, Technology Service Points.
What You Will Do:
Technical Support: Provide direct, in-person technical assistance to clients. Deliver remote technical support via phone. Demonstrate strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction. Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Equipment Support: Create and monitor the Equipment Request. Fulfill requests based on due dates and ensure proper training if needed. Accurate inventory management using the ticketing system.
Deployment: Unbox and prepare new computer systems and related equipment. Transport computers, peripherals, and other equipment across campus locations. Install, configure, and set up computers and other technical equipment at client workstations or designated areas.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of computer hardware and other technical assets.
Ticketing System Management: Utilize the organization's ticketing system to log, track, and resolve support requests. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all support activities within the ticketing system.
Non Essential Functions: The job description's listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

- Ability to move and set up computing equipment up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work on-site at the Tech Desk, to meet clients, answer phone calls, and chat hours.
- Ability to go to client workstations on campus.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
