The Fulton Library is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Evening Supervisor in the Circulation Services department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our library's mission and enhancing the experience of our diverse patron base.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - Midnight, transitioning to 12:30 PM - 9:15 PM during the summer semester.

Summary of Responsibilities

Supervises part-time and student employees, training and coaching them on department protocols and tasks. Fosters positive culture by setting clear expectations and modeling appropriate behavior, supporting employee endeavors, and stimulating employee morale. Communicates updated procedures and expectations verbally and in writing.
Serves on the Billing Team which provides daily reconciliation of payments and tracks and maintains records of patron accounts, inventory processes, of fines and fees, and overdue library material.
Maintains knowledge of department protocols and library and campus resources to provide frontline service. Connects library patrons to the information they seek and circulates materials to them. Promotes a safe environment by learning security procedures. Intervenes when appropriate. Troubleshoots and communicates building operation and security issues.
Works as a member of the team, contributing ideas to update and improve individual and department operations. Serves on select part-time and student employee hiring committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling 4 years.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of UVU Library's procedures, protocols and practices as well as supervisory experience is preferred.

Skills in supervising, including behavior modeling, relationship building, conflict resolution, team building, coaching and training.

Skills in use of computers as well as other standard office equipment.
